About the Event
Thunupa Festival is an artistic and cultural project whose main objective is to support and promote the development of local communities within the Uyuni Salt Flats. It creates economic opportunities while strengthening the cultural identity of the region.
The project is built on active collaboration and partnership with local communities to encourage mindful and sustainable tourism, ensuring a positive impact in both the short and long term. The events, workshops, activities, and other initiatives carried out within the framework of the festival are key to its success, attracting a broad audience from both national and international spheres. In doing so, the festival indirectly generates a new and significant flow of tourism to the region, contributing to its positioning and visibility.
It is important to highlight that Thunupa Festival is a non-profit initiative. All resources generated are fully reinvested into the strengthening and development of the region. This is a project that seamlessly combines tradition and modernity, both in its concept and its organization. Es un proyecto artístico cultural que tiene como objetivo principal apoyar y promover el desarrollo de las comunidades locales dentro del Salar de Uyuni. Generando oportunidades económicas y fortaleciendo la identidad cultural de la región. Este proyecto busca la colaboración activa y asociación con las comunidades locales para promover un turismo consciente y creciente de tal manera se pueda garantizar un impacto positivo a corto y largo plazo, bajo un enfoque sostenible. Los eventos, talleres, actividades u otros que se realizan en paralelo y dentro del marco del proyecto, son clave para la viabilidad de este; siendo capaces de atraer a un gran público tanto nacional como internacional. de manera indirecta, generando un importante y nuevo flujo de turismo hacia la región, colaborando al posicionamiento y visibilidad de la misma..
Cabe remarcar que se trata de un proyecto sin ánimo de lucro, por lo que todos los recursos que se generan a través de este, son destinados en su totalidad al fortalecimiento y desarrollo de la región. Un proyecto que combina tradición y modernidad desde su planteamiento y organización.
